Full Day Vaikom Backwaters Village Visit For Cruise Ship Passengers

Vaikom is a tranquil and serene village located on the banks of the famous backwaters that lies 30km from Cochin.

You will be picked up from the pier by your guide and driver and you will drive to Vaikom Village (45 minutes). You will be welcomed at a traditional Kerala House. Your tour starts with village backwater cruise in a country canoe through the intricate narrow canals and river, for 2 hours.

When you are back at the traditional house , you will be served with Kerala’s traditional lunch on plantain leaves with more than 15 curries.

After lunch proceed for the village sightseeing which includes Pot making, coconut oil extraction, coir carpet industry, handloom weaving followed by a Church and a village market visit. Also visit the Vaikom Mahadevi temple. At 1500 hrs , you will be driven back to your Pier (45 min) well in time before your departure
