The sense of isolation and the beauty of the place are enough to keep you satiated, even doing nothing for days together. Kannur is also place to witness Theyyam ,  the ritual dance   with traditions dating back a thousand years, and is a colourful melange of ethnic costumes, face paintings, and intensity and dedication with which the performance is rendered is mystifying.
